These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the developer, Beomseok Jeong, covering your use of Lookup (the "app"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
These Terms apply to the app on every platform where it is offered. How your data is handled is described separately in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Lookup is free to download and includes an optional paid subscription, offered on a monthly or annual basis. The following applies:
If you purchased a one-time unlock under an earlier version of the app, that purchase remains valid on the store account you bought it with.
All purchases are processed by the platform store, not by the developer. Refunds are therefore handled by that store under its own policy — Apple or Google — and the developer cannot issue, reverse, or guarantee a refund directly.
For App Store purchases, request a refund through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). For Google Play purchases, use the Google Play refund process. If a store needs the developer to confirm something about your purchase, we will help where we can — email us at the address below. Any statutory right of withdrawal you have under the law of your country is unaffected.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not: copy, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the app or your access to it; modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer it, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law; or remove any copyright, trademark, or ownership notices. The app, its content, and its design remain the property of the developer and are protected by copyright.
Any preferences or saved items you create in the app are yours. The developer claims no ownership of them and does not sell them.
The app stores such content as described in the Privacy Policy. Because it is stored on your own device, you are responsible for keeping your own backups: deleting the app, or losing or resetting your device, may permanently remove data that exists only there.
Please use the app lawfully and reasonably. In particular, do not:
Lookup provides astronomy information for education and enjoyment. The positions, times, and labels it shows are calculated from astronomical models and are estimates; they may differ from what you actually observe due to your exact location, time, atmospheric conditions, obstructions, or light pollution.
The augmented-reality overlay is a visual guide, not a navigation instrument. Do not rely on it for navigation, positioning, or any safety-critical purpose. When using the AR view, stay aware of your surroundings — do not walk into traffic, water, cliffs, or other hazards while looking through your device.
You are responsible for your own safety and decisions. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the app.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The developer does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, or that any content, position, or figure it shows is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses — including lost data, lost profits, or lost opportunity — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Where the developer is nevertheless found liable, that liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the app and its purchases in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights that you cannot waive by agreement.
These Terms may be updated — for example when app features change or platform store rules change. The current version is always posted at this URL, with the Effective Date shown at the top.
If a change materially reduces your rights, notice will be given in the app or on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you can stop using the app and cancel any subscription as described in section 2.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute cannot be resolved by discussion, it will be handled by the courts of the Republic of Korea. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live.

본 이용약관(이하 ‘약관’)은 Lookup(이하 ‘앱’)의 이용에 관하여 이용자와 개발자 정범석 사이에 적용되는 약정입니다. 앱을 다운로드·설치하거나 이용하면 본 약관에 동의한 것으로 봅니다. 동의하지 않으시는 경우 앱을 이용하지 말아 주세요.
본 약관은 앱이 제공되는 모든 플랫폼에 적용됩니다. 데이터 처리에 관한 사항은 개인정보 처리방침에서 별도로 정하며, 해당 방침은 본 약관의 일부를 구성합니다.
Lookup은 무료로 내려받을 수 있으며, 선택형 유료 구독을 월간 또는 연간으로 제공합니다. 구독에는 다음이 적용됩니다.
이전 버전에서 1회성 이용권을 구매하신 경우, 해당 구매는 구매에 사용한 스토어 계정에서 계속 유효합니다.
모든 결제는 개발자가 아니라 플랫폼 스토어를 통해 처리됩니다. 따라서 환불은 해당 스토어(Apple 또는 Google)의 정책에 따라 스토어가 처리하며, 개발자가 직접 환불을 실행하거나 취소하거나 보장할 수 없습니다.
App Store 결제는 Apple(reportaproblem.apple.com)을 통해, Google Play 결제는 Google Play 환불 절차를 통해 요청해 주세요. 스토어가 구매 내용에 관한 개발자 확인을 요구하는 경우 가능한 범위에서 도와드리므로 아래 이메일로 문의해 주시기 바랍니다. 이용자가 거주 국가의 법령에 따라 갖는 청약철회권 등 법정 권리는 영향을 받지 않습니다.
이용자에게는 본인이 소유하거나 관리하는 기기에서 개인적·비상업적 목적으로 앱을 이용할 수 있는 개인적·비독점적·양도 불가능하며 철회 가능한 라이선스가 부여됩니다.
이용자는 앱 또는 그 이용 권한을 복제·재판매·대여·임대·서브라이선스·재배포할 수 없고, 앱을 수정·역컴파일·역어셈블·역설계할 수 없으며(관련 법령이 그러한 제한을 금지하는 범위는 제외), 저작권·상표·권리 표시를 제거할 수 없습니다. 앱과 그 콘텐츠·디자인에 대한 권리는 개발자에게 있으며 저작권법의 보호를 받습니다.
앱에서 만든 설정이나 저장 항목은 이용자의 것입니다. 개발자는 이에 대한 소유권을 주장하지 않으며 이를 판매하지 않습니다.
앱은 개인정보 처리방침에 기재된 방식으로 해당 콘텐츠를 저장합니다. 콘텐츠는 이용자 기기에 저장되므로 백업은 이용자 책임입니다. 앱을 삭제하거나 기기를 분실·초기화하면 해당 기기에만 있던 데이터가 영구적으로 사라질 수 있습니다.
앱은 법령을 준수하여 합리적으로 이용해 주세요. 특히 다음 행위를 하지 말아 주세요.
Lookup은 교육·취미 목적의 천문 정보를 제공합니다. 표시되는 위치·시각· 명칭은 천문 계산 모델로 산출한 추정치이며, 정확한 위치·시간·대기 상태· 가림·광공해 등에 따라 실제 관측과 다를 수 있습니다.
증강현실 겹쳐 보기는 시각적 안내이며 항법(내비게이션) 장비가 아닙니다. 길 찾기·위치 측정 등 안전이 걸린 목적에 의존하지 마세요. AR 보기를 사용할 때는 주변에 유의하시고, 기기를 들여다보며 차도·물가·절벽 등 위험한 곳으로 이동하지 마세요.
본인의 안전과 판단에 대한 책임은 이용자에게 있습니다. 법이 허용하는 범위에서, 앱의 이용으로 발생한 부상·손실·손해에 대해 개발자는 책임을 지지 않습니다.
앱은 법이 허용하는 최대 범위에서 ‘있는 그대로(as is)’, ‘이용 가능한 상태로(as available)’ 제공되며, 명시적이든 묵시적이든 어떠한 보증도 하지 않습니다. 개발자는 앱이 중단 없이 또는 오류 없이 작동하거나 특정 시점에 이용 가능하다는 점, 앱이 표시하는 콘텐츠· 위치·수치가 정확하거나 완전하거나 특정 목적에 적합하다는 점을 보증하지 않습니다.
법이 허용하는 범위에서, 개발자는 앱의 이용 또는 이용 불가로 발생한 간접적·부수적· 특별·결과적 손해(데이터 손실, 일실이익, 기회 상실 등)에 대하여 책임지지 않습니다.
개발자에게 책임이 인정되는 경우에도, 그 책임은 청구의 원인이 된 사건 발생 전 12개월간 이용자가 앱 및 그 결제에 실제로 지급한 금액을 한도로 합니다.
본 약관의 어떠한 내용도 법률상 제한할 수 없는 책임(과실로 인한 사망·상해에 대한 책임, 사기에 대한 책임 등)을 제한하지 않으며, 이용자가 합의로 포기할 수 없는 강행 소비자 권리를 배제하지 않습니다.
본 약관은 앱 기능이나 플랫폼 스토어 정책의 변경 등에 따라 개정될 수 있습니다. 최신 약관은 항상 본 URL에 게시되며, 상단에 시행일을 표시합니다.
이용자의 권리를 실질적으로 축소하는 변경의 경우 시행 전에 앱 내 또는 본 페이지를 통해 안내합니다. 변경된 약관의 시행 이후에도 앱을 계속 이용하면 개정 약관에 동의한 것으로 봅니다. 동의하지 않으시는 경우 앱 이용을 중단하고 제2조에 따라 구독을 해지하실 수 있습니다.
본 약관은 대한민국 법에 따라 규율되며, 국제사법상의 저촉규정은 적용하지 않습니다. 분쟁이 협의로 해결되지 않는 경우 대한민국 법원에서 처리합니다. 다만 이는 이용자가 거주하는 국가의 강행 소비자 보호 규정에 따른 보호를 박탈하지 않습니다.
