These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the operator, Kim Yewon, covering your use of Docently (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the App.
These Terms apply to the App on every platform where it is offered. How your data is handled is described separately in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Docently is free to download. A daily painting and recent items are available without payment. The full gallery archive is unlocked through an optional paid subscription (Docently+), offered on a monthly or annual basis. The following applies:
All purchases are processed by the platform store, not by the operator. Refunds are therefore handled by that store under its own policy — Apple or Google — and the operator cannot issue, reverse, or guarantee a refund directly.
For App Store purchases, request a refund through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). For Google Play purchases, use the Google Play refund process. If a store needs the operator to confirm something about your purchase, we will help where we can — email us at the address below. Any statutory right of withdrawal you have under the law of your country is unaffected.
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not: copy, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the App or your access to it; modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer it, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by applicable law; or remove any copyright, trademark, or ownership notices. The App, its editorial commentary, and its design remain the property of the operator and are protected by copyright.
Docently presents artworks that are in the public domain or otherwise lawfully available for reproduction. Editorial guides, commentary, and translations displayed alongside each artwork are authored by the operator (with the assistance of AI tooling) and are provided for personal enjoyment, learning, and inspiration.
Artworks and editorial content displayed in the App may be used within the App for your personal viewing. You may share individual App-generated share cards on social media for non-commercial purposes. You may not download, extract, republish, or resell the App's editorial content in bulk, or use it to train machine-learning models, without the operator's written permission.
You may use Docently anonymously, or you may sign in (e.g., Sign in with Apple) to sync your streak and saved artworks across your devices. Your saved items and notes are yours. The operator does not sell them.
The App stores your data as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Deletion requests for account-linked data can be made by email to the address below.
Please use the App lawfully and reasonably. In particular, do not:
Docently is an art appreciation and informational app. Editorial guides, historical notes, and translations are offered for general interest and enjoyment — not as academic, curatorial, or professional art-history advice. Content is generated with the assistance of AI tools and may contain inaccuracies.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The operator does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, or that any content it shows is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses — including lost data, lost profits, or lost opportunity — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
Where the operator is nevertheless found liable, that liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the App and its purchases in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights that you cannot waive by agreement.
These Terms may be updated — for example when App features change or platform store rules change. The current version is always posted at this URL, with the Effective Date shown at the top.
If a change materially reduces your rights, notice will be given in the App or on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you can stop using the App and cancel any subscription as described in section 2.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute cannot be resolved by discussion, it will be handled by the courts of the Republic of Korea. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer rules of the country where you live.

본 이용약관(이하 '약관')은 Docently(이하 '앱')의 이용에 관하여 이용자와 운영자 김예원 사이에 적용되는 약정입니다. 앱을 다운로드·설치하거나 이용하면 본 약관에 동의한 것으로 봅니다. 동의하지 않으시는 경우 앱을 이용하지 말아 주세요.
본 약관은 앱이 제공되는 모든 플랫폼에 적용됩니다. 데이터 처리에 관한 사항은 개인정보 처리방침에서 별도로 정하며, 해당 방침은 본 약관의 일부를 구성합니다.
Docently은(는) 무료로 내려받을 수 있습니다. 오늘의 그림과 최근 항목은 결제 없이 이용할 수 있으며, 전체 보관고는 선택형 유료 구독 (Docently+)을 통해 열립니다. 구독은 월간 또는 연간으로 제공되며 다음이 적용됩니다.
모든 결제는 운영자가 아니라 플랫폼 스토어를 통해 처리됩니다. 따라서 환불은 해당 스토어(Apple 또는 Google)의 정책에 따라 스토어가 처리하며, 운영자가 직접 환불을 실행하거나 취소하거나 보장할 수 없습니다.
App Store 결제는 Apple(reportaproblem.apple.com)을 통해, Google Play 결제는 Google Play 환불 절차를 통해 요청해 주세요. 스토어가 구매 내용에 관한 운영자 확인을 요구하는 경우 가능한 범위에서 도와드리므로 아래 이메일로 문의해 주시기 바랍니다. 이용자가 거주 국가의 법령에 따라 갖는 청약철회권 등 법정 권리는 영향을 받지 않습니다.
이용자에게는 본인이 소유하거나 관리하는 기기에서 개인적·비상업적 목적으로 앱을 이용할 수 있는 개인적·비독점적·양도 불가능하며 철회 가능한 라이선스가 부여됩니다.
이용자는 앱 또는 그 이용 권한을 복제·재판매·대여·임대·서브라이선스·재배포할 수 없고, 앱을 수정·역컴파일·역어셈블·역설계할 수 없으며(관련 법령이 그러한 제한을 금지하는 범위는 제외), 저작권·상표·권리 표시를 제거할 수 없습니다. 앱과 그 편집 해설·디자인에 대한 권리는 운영자에게 있으며 저작권법의 보호를 받습니다.
Docently에 수록된 작품은 퍼블릭 도메인이거나 그 밖에 합법적으로 복제 가능한 저작물입니다. 각 작품에 함께 제공되는 편집 가이드·해설·번역은 운영자가(AI 도구의 도움을 받아) 작성한 것으로, 개인의 감상·학습·영감을 위해 제공됩니다.
앱에 표시되는 작품과 편집 콘텐츠는 앱 내에서 개인적 감상 용도로 이용할 수 있습니다. 앱이 생성하는 공유 카드는 비상업적 목적으로 소셜 미디어에 공유할 수 있습니다. 이용자는 운영자의 서면 동의 없이 앱의 편집 콘텐츠를 대량으로 다운로드·추출·재게시·재판매하거나 기계학습 모델 학습에 사용할 수 없습니다.
이용자는 Docently를 익명으로 이용하거나, 로그인(예: Sign in with Apple) 하여 여러 기기에서 스트릭·저장 작품을 동기화할 수 있습니다. 저장한 항목과 메모는 이용자의 것입니다. 운영자는 이를 판매하지 않습니다.
앱은 개인정보 처리방침에 기재된 방식으로 이용자 데이터를 저장합니다. 이용자는 본인의 로그인 자격 증명을 안전하게 관리할 책임이 있습니다. 계정에 연결된 데이터의 삭제는 아래 이메일로 요청하실 수 있습니다.
앱은 법령을 준수하여 합리적으로 이용해 주세요. 특히 다음 행위를 하지 말아 주세요.
Docently는 미술 감상·정보 앱입니다. 편집 가이드, 역사적 해설, 번역은 일반적인 참고와 감상을 위한 것이며, 학술·큐레이토리얼·전문 미술사 자문이 아닙니다. 콘텐츠는 AI 도구의 도움을 받아 생성되며 부정확한 내용이 포함될 수 있습니다.
앱은 법이 허용하는 최대 범위에서 '있는 그대로(as is)', '이용 가능한 상태로(as available)' 제공되며, 명시적이든 묵시적이든 어떠한 보증도 하지 않습니다. 운영자는 앱이 중단 없이 또는 오류 없이 작동하거나 특정 시점에 이용 가능하다는 점, 앱이 표시하는 콘텐츠가 정확하거나 완전하거나 특정 목적에 적합하다는 점을 보증하지 않습니다.
법이 허용하는 범위에서, 운영자는 앱의 이용 또는 이용 불가로 발생한 간접적·부수적·특별·결과적 손해(데이터 손실, 일실이익, 기회 상실 등)에 대하여 책임지지 않습니다.
운영자에게 책임이 인정되는 경우에도, 그 책임은 청구의 원인이 된 사건 발생 전 12개월간 이용자가 앱 및 그 결제에 실제로 지급한 금액을 한도로 합니다.
본 약관의 어떠한 내용도 법률상 제한할 수 없는 책임(과실로 인한 사망·상해에 대한 책임, 사기에 대한 책임 등)을 제한하지 않으며, 이용자가 합의로 포기할 수 없는 강행 소비자 권리를 배제하지 않습니다.
본 약관은 앱 기능이나 플랫폼 스토어 정책의 변경 등에 따라 개정될 수 있습니다. 최신 약관은 항상 본 URL에 게시되며, 상단에 시행일을 표시합니다.
이용자의 권리를 실질적으로 축소하는 변경의 경우 시행 전에 앱 내 또는 본 페이지를 통해 안내합니다. 변경된 약관의 시행 이후에도 앱을 계속 이용하면 개정 약관에 동의한 것으로 봅니다. 동의하지 않으시는 경우 앱 이용을 중단하고 제2조에 따라 구독을 해지하실 수 있습니다.
본 약관은 대한민국 법에 따라 규율되며, 국제사법상의 저촉규정은 적용하지 않습니다. 분쟁이 협의로 해결되지 않는 경우 대한민국 법원에서 처리합니다. 다만 이는 이용자가 거주하는 국가의 강행 소비자 보호 규정에 따른 보호를 박탈하지 않습니다.
