1. The short version

Outpost reads your location to fill in your map. Your coordinates never leave your iPhone. The map itself stays on your device, and there is no analytics or tracking. If you delete the app, everything it knew is gone with it.

If — and only if — you switch the leaderboard on, a few numbers (how many tiles you own, how many strongholds, and so on) are sent to a server under an anonymous nickname. The server never learns which tiles you were on. It is off by default.

2. Location data

The app uses your location to decide which map tiles you have visited or stayed in.

Stored on your device only. Coordinates are converted to map tile identifiers and kept in the app's own storage. They are never uploaded.
Background use is opt-in. Claiming while the app is closed only happens if you turn that switch on yourself. You can turn it off at any time.
No history of your movements is transmitted. The developer cannot see where you have been, because that information never reaches the developer.

3. Motion & Fitness

With your permission, the app reads motion activity to tell walking apart from driving. This prevents roads you merely drive through from being claimed. The data is used in the moment and is not stored or transmitted.

4. Purchases

Themes and the All Access subscription are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the payment; the developer never receives your payment details. The app only learns whether a purchase is active.

5. Leaderboard & Crew (optional)

Off by default. If you never turn it on, nothing is sent to any server.

When you turn it on, only this is uploaded:

An anonymous identifier and a nickname you choose. No real name, e-mail, or phone number is collected, and there is no password to create.
Numbers only: total tiles, strongholds, conquered and mastered districts, longest streak, and new tiles this week.
If you use Crews: the crew name, its invite code, and who belongs to it. If you choose to make a crew public, its name and member count become visible to everyone in the in-app crew list — that switch is off by default and you decide. Invite codes are never shown in that list.

Coordinates, the list of individual tiles, and timestamps of your movements are never uploaded. The server cannot tell which tiles you were on. It is hosted on Supabase; as with any internet service, your IP address may appear in server logs.

Turning the switch off stops uploads immediately. To erase what was already uploaded, use Delete My Records on the leaderboard screen — it removes your nickname, your scores, and your crew membership from the server right away. The map on your device is not touched.

6. What we do not do

No advertising, no ad identifiers, no third-party analytics SDKs.
No selling or sharing of personal information.
No profiling and no automated decisions about you.

7. Your control

Location and Motion permissions can be changed or revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security. Deleting the app erases all data it created on your device. If you used the leaderboard, Delete My Records on the leaderboard screen erases the server-side records at any time. You can also report a nickname or crew name to us from the app, and hide any of them on your own device.

8. Children

Outpost is not directed to children under 13, and the app does not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Map data

Maps are provided by Apple Maps. District boundaries come from Korean public data (Statistics Korea), and reachable-area estimates are derived from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).

10. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the effective date above will be updated and the change will be described in the app's release notes.

1. 요약

Outpost는 지도를 채우기 위해 위치를 읽습니다. 좌표는 아이폰 밖으로 나가지 않습니다. 지도는 기기 안에 남고, 분석 도구나 추적은 없습니다. 앱을 지우면 앱이 알던 것도 함께 사라집니다.

리더보드를 직접 켠 경우에만 익명 닉네임과 숫자 몇 개(가진 칸 수, 요새 수 등)가 서버로 올라갑니다. 서버는 사용자가 어느 칸에 있었는지 알 수 없습니다. 기본값은 꺼짐입니다.

2. 위치정보

어느 칸을 지나갔고 어디에 머물렀는지 판단하는 데 위치를 씁니다.

기기 안에만 저장합니다. 좌표는 지도 칸 식별자로 바뀌어 앱 저장소에 남고, 어디로도 전송되지 않습니다.
백그라운드 사용은 선택입니다. 앱을 닫은 동안의 자동 정복은 사용자가 직접 켤 때만 동작하며, 언제든 끌 수 있습니다.
이동 기록은 전송되지 않습니다. 개발자에게 도달하지 않으므로 개발자는 사용자가 어디에 있었는지 알 수 없습니다.

3. 동작 및 피트니스

허용하시면 걷는 중인지 차를 타는 중인지 구분하는 데 활동 정보를 읽습니다. 지나가는 도로가 잘못 점령되는 것을 막기 위한 것이며, 그 순간에만 쓰고 저장하거나 전송하지 않습니다.

4. 결제

테마와 전체 이용권은 Apple의 인앱 결제로 판매됩니다. 결제는 Apple이 처리하며 개발자는 결제 정보를 받지 않습니다. 앱은 구매가 유효한지 여부만 확인합니다.

5. 리더보드·크루 (선택)

기본값은 꺼짐입니다. 켜지 않으면 서버로 아무것도 올라가지 않습니다.

켜면 다음만 올라갑니다.

익명 식별자와 사용자가 직접 정한 닉네임. 실명·이메일·전화번호를 받지 않으며 비밀번호를 만들 필요도 없습니다.
숫자만: 총 칸 수, 요새 수, 정복·마스터한 구역 수, 최장 연속일, 이번 주 새로 얻은 칸 수.
크루를 쓰는 경우 크루 이름, 초대 코드, 소속 관계. 크루를 공개로 만들면 이름과 인원수가 앱 안의 크루 목록에서 누구에게나 보입니다 — 기본값은 비공개이고 직접 켜야 합니다. 초대 코드는 그 목록에 나오지 않습니다.

좌표, 개별 칸 목록, 이동 시각은 올라가지 않습니다. 서버는 사용자가 어느 칸에 있었는지 알 수 없습니다. 서버는 Supabase에 있으며, 인터넷 서비스가 그렇듯 접속 과정에서 서버 로그에 IP 주소가 남을 수 있습니다.

스위치를 끄면 업로드가 즉시 멈춥니다. 이미 올라간 기록은 리더보드 화면의 「내 기록 삭제」로 직접 지울 수 있습니다 — 닉네임, 점수, 크루 소속이 서버에서 바로 삭제됩니다. 기기의 지도와 영토는 그대로 남습니다.

6. 하지 않는 것

광고, 광고 식별자, 제3자 분석 도구를 쓰지 않습니다.
개인정보를 판매하거나 공유하지 않습니다.
프로파일링이나 자동화된 결정을 하지 않습니다.

7. 이용자의 권리

위치·동작 권한은 iOS 설정 → 개인정보 보호 및 보안에서 언제든 변경하거나 철회할 수 있습니다. 앱을 삭제하면 기기에 만들어진 모든 데이터가 지워집니다. 리더보드를 사용하셨다면 리더보드 화면의 「내 기록 삭제」로 서버 기록을 언제든 직접 지울 수 있습니다. 부적절한 닉네임이나 크루 이름은 앱에서 신고할 수 있고, 원하지 않는 항목은 내 기기에서 숨길 수 있습니다.

8. 아동

이 앱은 만 13세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 아동의 정보를 알면서 수집하지 않습니다.

9. 지도 데이터

지도는 Apple 지도를 사용합니다. 행정동 경계는 통계청 공공데이터를 사용하며, 도달 가능 구역 추정에는 OpenStreetMap 데이터를 활용했습니다 (© OpenStreetMap 기여자, Open Database License(ODbL)).

10. 변경

이용자에게 영향을 주는 변경이 있으면 위 시행일을 갱신하고 앱 릴리스 노트에 내용을 밝힙니다.
